About me I am Edgar Ramírez, I was born in Barcelona (1978) and I am an illustrator and graphic designer. I studied illustration at Llotja, School of Arts and Crafts in Barcelona. Later I studied a master's degree in Children's and Youth Illustration from EINA, Barcelona University Center of Design and Art. Since 2008 I have also taught illustration classes at the Instituto Europeo di Design (IED). Currently, I am still training, I am currently studying an Arts degree. In the field of publishing, my work consists of illustration and graphic design. I am dedicated to children's and youth illustration, logo design, layouts of all kinds of publications, cover designs, press illustrations, etc. Much of what I do is aimed for children and young people. I collaborate with national and international design studios and publishers. I am currently working on several projects that will be launched in early 2021. With both design and illustration, I rely on simplicity and show what I want with maximum synthesis. At the same time, I like to give my designs and illustrations movement and aesthetic quality due to the curved lines, whose thickness varies depending on the age of the target audience, wether they are children or adults. Each new project is for me like the first one. I strongly dedicate myself to it, so that the result is always according to the objectives. In each job I research many color ranges and create a personalized palette based on the theme and the message that you want to convey. With the same purpose, I study the composition in detail and look for the best spot for each of the elements, thus making the most of the page.
